Is your product shipped frozen?
Certainly! Our bison meat undergoes meticulous handling – each cut is individually vacuum-sealed and promptly frozen during processing. This ensures that our high-quality meat arrives at your doorstep in pristine condition. While it's typical for some portions of the meat to start thawing during extended shipping, if your order arrives cold, it can be safely stored in your refrigerator or freezer. Why is the fat yellow?
In grass-finished bison, often the fat is yellow due to the beta carotene in the pasture grass they feed on. It is completely natural, these animals have not been fed a grain diet. This is also the case with beef cattle.
