Smoked Bison Short Ribs are a delicious way to enjoy a summer meal. Smoking your ribs adds the most amazing flavors to your bison. Try this recipe and you'll have melt in your mouth Bison Short Ribs.
Bison Short Ribs
3 tbsp Dijon Mustard
1 tbsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
1 tbsp Garlic powder
1 tbsp Onion powder
3 cups beef broth
1 cup red wine
1 yellow onion
1 sprig rosemary
1 sprig thyme
3 bay leaves
2 cloves garlic
Set ribs out at room temperature for 30 minutes
Pat short rib dry with a paper towel
Rub the mustard over the entire surface of the short rib (this will create a nice crust on the meat)
Season the short ribs with Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Smoke the short ribs at 250 degrees 1 hour and 30 minutes
Remove the short ribs from the smoker.
Bring beef broth and red wine to a boil uncovered in a dutch oven to flash off alcohol
Reduce to medium - low heat and add onion, rosemary, thyme, bay leaves, garlic cloves, short ribs and cover.
Simmer on medium heat for 4 hours.
Ribs should be tender and fall off the bone.
Salt and pepper to taste.
